SLA Dimensional Validation Prototype

- Industry: Engineering / Product Development
- Challenge: A geometrically complex metal component required dimensional and assembly validation before committing to expensive CNC machining in aluminium or titanium.
- Solution: We selected high-resolution SLA printing to create an accurate prototype, allowing the client to validate geometry, proportions and real-world fit before moving to high-cost metal manufacturing.
Cad Deziners successfully delivered a high-precision SLA 3D printed scale model of a complex industrial processing plant, enabling the client to visualize intricate engineering details with exceptional accuracy. The project involved converting detailed CAD data into a highly realistic physical model that replicated structural steel, piping networks, process equipment, and plant layouts while maintaining critical dimensional tolerances. Leveraging SLA additive manufacturing, the team achieved superior surface finish, fine feature resolution, and rapid production compared to conventional model-making methods. The completed model enhanced design validation, stakeholder presentations, project planning, and engineering communication, demonstrating how advanced 3D printing accelerates decision-making while reducing development time, manufacturing complexity, and overall project risk.
