Vegemite Promotional Mascot Development

- Challenge: The client required a durable physical Vegemite promotional mascot developed from a 2D character concept. During prototype testing, the original arm design failed because of its slender geometry and bending loads. The client also requested several design and aesthetic modifications after reviewing the initial prototype.
- Solution: CAD Deziners developed the complete CAD model from the 2D artwork, analysed the prototype failure and reinforced the arm connections, increased wall thickness in critical areas, and optimised the internal geometry while maintaining the original appearance. Client revisions were incorporated efficiently using a parametric CAD workflow. The final model was manufactured using SLA resin 3D printing, followed by UV curing, surface preparation, professional painting, custom Vegemite logo decals and assembly.
CAD Deziners transformed a 2D promotional character into a production-ready, durable physical mascot through a combination of CAD engineering, prototype testing, structural redesign and SLA 3D printing. The redesigned model resolved the original arm failure while preserving the character’s visual identity and branding. The finished mascot was suitable for exhibitions, events and marketing campaigns, demonstrating CAD Deziners’ ability to combine engineering precision with high-quality product presentation.
